    “I don't often take the time to leave a review but in this case, the service was so exceptional that I have to. Standard installed a new A/C unit for our upstairs back in April and did a great, professional job. This past Saturday, the unit stopped working so I called on Sunday to see about getting a service technician out sometime this week (kids are grown and gone so no hurry on repairing it). I immediately got a return call with a promise that I would be contacted Monday morning to arrange an appointment. This morning at 7:45 I received a call saying that they could have a technician here at 8:30 if that was convenient. Promptly at 8:30 Edward Schiller shows up and begins troubleshooting the problem. He quickly determined that the issue was not with the unit but a separate power switch that was used to kill power to the unit. After removing the switch from the circuit (it was unneeded as the breaker box was nearby) he verified that the unit operated properly. He then helped troubleshoot a problem with OUR wifi thermostat. Even though neither problem was Standard's responsibility, he would not charge us for the service call! From the great experience with the original installation to the exceptional service provided by Edward (who also put up with this engineer peppering him with questions!), Standard has won me as a lifetime customer - I can't recommend them enough.”

    “On May 17, 2017, your team completed a long hard task of making the system operate properly. Never in this time frame did they ever give up hope in seeing this project completed to mine and my wife’s ultimate satisfaction. You replaced the condenser once and spent endless hours (I should know since I was here with them) working on the components that make up the system. Fortunately for us all when Gene was here yesterday to replace the thermostat he saw the system freezing up and concluded the return was not an adequate size for the 3-ton unit installed. This, by the way, was in deference to the facts given by one of the supposed most knowledgeable technicians with Carrier. Shame on them. Your team replaced the return to the proper size and for the first time, we were able to enjoy a restful nights sleep. This has been a frustrating time for all and I am sure they are extremely excited about not having to visit our home today.     “This job was scheduled for work to be done in my mother's home, who lives long distance from my place of residence. So I had no idea about the company except for the reviews on Angie's List. I was very pleased with the work. Edward, the technician arrived on time. He was very professional. He did an excellent job. I provided a converter faucet/hand shower for my mother's clawfoot bathtub which was decades old, and a complimentary faucet for the sink. Because the tub was so old, the existing connectors leaked when he attached the new faucet. He had to then travel to the only plumbing store in the area that carried them. When he returned, he found that they had given him the wrong size, and he had to make a repeat trip. He did not charge us for the additional time it took to make this second trip. It took about 5 hours for him to complete this project, and he performed with diligence despite the stifling heat he endured while working in that bathroom. My mother is thus far enjoying her converter faucet without any problems. There was a travel charge, which in my area, there typically is not. So that gives an extra added expense. I am sure if that is a general custom for companies in that area.”

    “Porter, You may not have heard that I have been staying at Jane Webb's home in Garden Place since last October. My Linwood house was being repaired to get ready to sell and I needed a place to stay, so she graciously asked me to come over here to stay until the new house is built.
